Restorative yoga is a very gentle and passive type of yoga. Judith Hansen Lasater, who many consider the guru of restorative yoga, refers to it as “active relaxation.” Each class will start with connecting gentle stretches to breath and will then move into poses that will be supported by props and held for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. There will continue to be focus on breath throughout the poses as we work toward relaxing the body and mind completely. The name says it all as restorative yoga truly does restore and rejuvenate the body, mind and soul. January 25th - March 1st 2010 Mondays 5:15-6:30 pm $60.00
